Melissa Schoenecker
Melissa Schoenecker’s journey through the entertainment industry has been as eclectic as it has been promising. From the day she was born, she has had a love of all art forms, from literature, to music, to paintings, to film. Born in St. Paul, Melissa spent the next 18 years of her life braving the ice cold winters and suffocatingly humid summers of the great state of Minnesota. (Though unsure of if she’ll ever go back, she wouldn’t change the experience for anything in the world).
While studying at Madison, WI, she secured a Front of House position with Lollapalooza and The Warped Tour. Three summers on the road later, and she was hooked on being a part of the entertainment industry. In 2005, she graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison with a well rounded Bachelor of Science degree in English, with an emphasis in Creative Writing.
With an inexhaustible desire to grow as a person and learn from new experiences, she jumped at the opportunity to move to Los Angeles and give the big city a try. Her first career in California opened her eyes to the wonderful world of film. At York Entertainment, she was introduced to the post-production, sales, and distribution aspect of film. This only made her realize that she wanted to be a part of creating the art rather than focusing on the end users of the finished product.
Melissa has always had a knack for teaching and loves to share the lessons she has learned with others, which makes her a great fit for the Youth Division
These are just some of the highlights of her varied, promising career. With five plus years of experience and knowledge of the industry, Melissa joined Shawn Brogan and her team in 2008 instantly making her mark as an indispensable member of The Brogan Agency. She started as an assistant to the agency director while also working in the accounting department. Through hard work and dedication, she took over the Youth Department in 2009. She brings with her the devotion, dedication and care needed to oversee a successful department. In a short amount of time, she has proven herself a tenacious, levelheaded, determined young woman with much success awaiting her in the future.
Melissa is forever grateful for her remarkable clientele, who have allowed her into not only their careers, but their lives. She is always searching for new clients for which she can facilitate the co-creation of their aspirations within the entertainment field.
