Anthony Dale

Director, Literary Department

Anthony Dale began his literary career in 1994 as a Contributing Editor for Suite 101 Magazine, while still studying for his BM in Music Theory and Composition from Kent State University. The nineties were a whirlwind of activity for him, as he traveled the world as a Music Director in musical theatre, serving as a Resident Music Director at the Royal National Theatre in Sydney, Australia; the Clinton Area Showboat Theatre in Clinton, Iowa; and everywhere in between.

In 2000, he moved to New York, where he worked in the Development departments of several prominent theatres. He also founded the Crazy Horse Theatre (CHT), which developed and produced many award-winning productions of new material. He helmed productions which appeared in the New York International Fringe Festival, FutureFest, and many other new plays competitions and festivals. In his downtime, he continued to freelance as a Music Director, accompanist, conductor, and composer for theatres around the world.

Anthony arrived in Southern California in 2005, and immediately began working in production and development. His tenacious work ethic and attention to detail have continued to push him as he’s expanded his horizons in the literary and production field. He has served in the Development departments for several production companies, as he has continued to devote his time to assisting writers in shaping their material in preparation for production and for competitions. His client roster includes several produced screenwriters and playwrights, with awards including Scriptapalooza, the Sidewalk Film Festival, Slamdance, and more.

Anthony joined The Brogan Agency team in 2007, founding and developing the Literary Department in its infancy. His tenacious work ethic and attention to details have assisted him in building a department that promises to be a wonderful addition to the agency.
